Denali Outdoors: Spring Series

Spring has sprung and we are ready to hit the trails for Denali Outdoors Spring 2014 sponsored by Patagonia! After being cooped up most of the winter with loads of snow and bitterly cold weather we are ready to stretch our legs and get some miles in. Join us as we explore Connecticut trails and watch as Mother Nature comes to life. Just as we did in the fall, each hike or adventure will have a theme to help you become a more well rounded hiker. Some favorites will be back with the 10 Essentials of the Outdoors and Leave No Trace. We are also including Map & Compass skills, Mindful Hiking & Yoga, along with helping out the Appalachian Mountain Club by doing trail maintenance along the AT. Expanding even more this Spring we will be offering two outdoor adventure days geared toward kids. Nate McKenzie of Ascent Climbing will be joining us for a Kids Adventure Day and Kids Learn to Rock Climb.

Amy Parulis

Amy is extremely fond of mountains and mud. She has hiked all of the 4000footers in New Hampshire and stood on the top of a steaming Mt. St. Helens. Between trips to New Hampshire Amy enjoys doing mud runs and GORUCK Challenges. She is a proud finisher of the Peak Races 50 mile ultramarathon. Often found carrying bricks around for the fun of it and daydreaming about one day climbing Mt. Rainier, Amy pays the bills by doing social media and events for Trailblazer and Denali.
